Spring weddings always feel extra special when everything is in bloom. From the beginning of the day, Nikki and Dermot were glowing with excitement, and that energy carried through every part of their celebration.

Getting Ready

The day began with getting-ready photos at a nearby hotel, where both Nikki and Dermot prepared separately for the moment they would come together. The bride’s room was full of laughter and excitement, even a spontaneous bed-jumping moment of joy, while the guys enjoyed a relaxed, fun morning together before the ceremony.

The Ceremony at Stone House at Stirling Ridge

Their ceremony took place in Stone House’s covered outdoor space, offering the perfect blend of an open-air spring setting with comfort and shelter. As Nikki walked down the aisle, the room felt still in the most emotional way. Dermot’s reaction as he saw her for the first time was unforgettable—full of joy and emotion.

Guests soaked in the beautiful spring weather while witnessing a heartfelt exchange of vows in an intimate, elegant setting.

After the ceremony, we explored the property for portraits as cherry blossoms and magnolia trees were in full bloom. Soft spring colors and golden light created a timeless, romantic backdrop for newlywed portraits.

A Hudson Valley Photographer Traveling to New Jersey

Although I’m based in New York’s Hudson Valley, I regularly travel to New Jersey for weddings, and Stone House at Stirling Ridge is always worth the trip.

The Grand Ballroom is one of the most striking features of the venue, with 16-foot ceilings, glass doors opening to private gardens and fire pits, and sweeping views of the Watchung landscape. It feels both grand and intimate, designed with a refined, timeless palette.

I love photographing a Stone House at Stirling Ridge spring wedding.
